Acquiring the skills to produce handcrafted glass is a long battle. The glass journey started in 2014, when I visited the island of Curacao and my friends mother, a local glass artist in peace, gave me the idea of working with glass. So this glass passion of mine is quite recent. I love exploring all it’s possibilities and like to push the limits of this medium. Making these drop out vessels is quite intriguing. The on forehand made glass plate or blank is dropped in the kiln through the hole of a ceramic ring. I really would like to make big ones, but didn’t succesfully finish one yet. To be continued!
